At Washi we will service your shears to factory specifications. Our Master technician has been trained in Japan and Korea using the latest sharpening techniques. Service includes alignment, small repairs such as bumper replacement and balancing of the blades with the proper tension. Service also features Washi's Anti Push edge work to keep the hair from sliding on the blade. Sharpening by unauthorized companies will void your Washi lifetime warranty. With 33 years of experience, Washi is a company you can trust.
Shears are serviced and shipped within 1-2 business days upon arrival to our office and are shipped back via USPS. If you provide your email address, you will receive a tracking number once your shears are completed. Return shipping typically takes 3-5 business days. Expedited shipping options are available for US customers (see below). In order to get your shears serviced by Washi, please refer to the following steps.
Step 1
Print and complete the sharpening form. Any requests or additional comments must be written on the form. (If you cannot print this form, please write all of the required information on a blank piece of paper.)
Step 2
Enclose your shears in a protective package or envelope. You can use bubble wrap or paper towels to wrap around the shear for protection during shipping. PLEASE.... NO LARGE SCISSOR CASES.
Step 3
Enclose a check, cash or Venmo to (Marc-Milman, pic of sunset), Zelle, Apple Pay or Cash App to 561-779-2744. (NO MONEY ORDERS) You may also pay online with your credit card by clicking the button below. Warranty fee includes return shipping and handling. For service fees, please review the following:
- If you purchased your shears directly from the Washi website or at a beauty show, enclose $40.00 per shear (proof of purchase required).
- For Washi shears purchased from other sources (other websites or local businesses), please enclose $45 per shear.
- For Washi shears previously serviced by other companies please enclose $49 per shear. (If damaged additional cost may apply).
- All other brands - $49.00 per shear.
- Service for Canada, $55 USD.

- USPS Priority (2-4 business days) US only - $12
- USPS Express (1-2 business days) US only - $29
**ONLY... If you are choosing an expedited shipping option and sending more than one shear at the same time for service, please do the following to avoid a duplicate shipping charge:
1. Add to cart 1 sharpening service with the expedited shipping option selected for your first shear.
2. Add to cart 1 sharpening service with the free shipping option for the second shear.
3. If you have more shears to send, please follow step 2 again. (You only need to pay for expedited shipping option once, for every other shear, please select the free shipping option).
You only need to include one sharpening form for all of your shears.
